Easter 2017

Even though Easter was in the middle of April this year I thought it needed it's own post since I had so many pictures.
Dying Eggs
Dash did enjoy it despite this picture but it was the only I took of him, haha.
Rosie, Miriam, and Mamie came to color eggs with us!
 Liam dying of his eggs.

The girls and some of their eggs.

On the Saturday before Easter we usually do the Herriman City egg hunt but this year they changed the date and it rain so we didn't go the week prior. Luke and Gabrie were at the state Science Olympiad competition so I took Livvy and the boys to what I thought would be a fun Helicopter Egg Drop at Traverse Mountain.
Before the Egg Drop- all smiles.

Egg Drop was pretty cool seeing the helicopter so close.

After the egg drop when after waiting 45 minutes in the freezing cold wind and they got absolutely nothing. This is what I posted on Facebook that day:

My kids faces after we attempted the Egg Drop at Traverse Mountain today, notice all the empty baskets in the background. It was so sad they didn't get a single egg! There were a lot of crying children, including my boys. It was utter chaos, i don't know who got all the eggs, I couldn't see a thing because all the adults stormed the field with kids. So lame! Afterward Liam said "let's never do that again", I totally agree! Luckily slurpees cheered them up

Within 3 secs of the ribbon being dropped (signally the kids could go on the field where the eggs where) the kids were absorbed into this sea of people and I couldn't see them at all! Parents were not supposed to go on the grass so I stayed behind but I guess I was one of the few. I had told them were I would be in case they got seperated so I stayed there and just prayed they would be able to get of the crowd and find me. Luckily Livvy was watching out for her brothers and held their hands and kept them together in all the craziness when I couldn't even see them, I was so grateful for her!

Ready to find their eggs!

We were surprised to see eggs in the front yard, usually the Easter Bunny hides them inside so we opened the door and found a basket and note!
Someone had hid plastic eggs with candy inside for the kids and 1 empty one to remind us the Jesus' tomb was empty because He had RISEN! It was a very cool thing for someone to do for us!

In our Easter Best! Once again trying to get a good picture of these 4 where they are all looking at the camera can be almost impossible but these are still pretty cute!

Happy Easter!
