Olivia's Hospital Stay

A couple of weeks ago Livvy had a bad cold and was having a hard time sleeping. When I went into her room she was breathing really fast and shallow. I wasn't sure what to do so I just kept checking on her all night. The next morning her breathing was even worse, her stomach and neck were retracting and she was exausted from how much work it was to breath. So we took her to an urgent care (it was a Sunday morning) and after looking at her for a minute or two they said we needed to take her to the emergency room. So we did. It was so sad to see her there with all the wires and oxygen hooked up to her, but once they suctioned her out and gave her oxygen she perked up a little. So sad but also really cute.

In her hospital gown the next morning playing with some toys (children's hospitals are great!)

We got to go home that afternoon after being there a little over 24 hours, but Livvy still needed oxygen so we brought some home with us and then had a big tank delivered to the house for 2 more days. She did pretty well with it but would get frustrated when she would get stuck because the cord was tangled or not long enough. But she still managed to have fun!
She even did her favorite thing: climbing to the top of the love sac and leaning forward until she falls and rolls down! I guess she was feeling better!
And a cute tub picture with all of her adhesive attachments still on.

Your right, it is so sad, but also pretty cute. Glad she perked up pretty fast.

Granny told me that Gigi came running in "Livvy has a hose up her nose just like you!"
