November Part 1

The kids had been playing with toothpicks and playdough and someone brought the tooth picks from the kitchen table (where they were allowed) into the living room (where they were not allowed). Somehow one ended up in Olivia's foot! I tried to pull it out, but it wouldn't budge! I was getting queasy and Olivia was freaking out, but luckily our neighbor Leslie came to get her daughter Taylor (who was playing at our house) and she was able to give it a good hard yank. It came out with no permanent damage.

Lazy afternoon, everyone on Mom and Dad's bed watching a screen (except Mom)!

Olivia made these cute signs for her tea-party. Having a "Tea Party" is one her favorite things to do! She gets out the tea set and gets little treats like chocolate chips, pretzels, goldfish, or marshmallows along with either water or preferably lemonade. It can get messy and she tends to forget to clean it up so even though she asks to do one daily she doesn't always get to.

Translation: Welcome to Liv's Tea Party Enter

Tea Party at Liv's House

Her place setting, I am pretty sure she had just read a "Fancy Nancy" book about having a tea party....we love those books.

Liam with a tower that I am pretty sure Dash built and then they put all their characters inside.

Grandpa Williams introduced Olivia and Gabriella to one of his loves- the game of Zarahemla! It was awesome of him to let them play and teach them how and they decided to play by themselves.

Luke and I got to be chaperones for the middle schoolers going to La Caille.
We've done it a couple times and it is always entertaining and delicious.

Liam shoveling our first snowfall, he was excited to pull out the hat and gloves.

Dash in a full snow suit enjoying the snow on the trampoline.

Liam out shoveling again, this time in jammies, boots and some awesome bed head.

We decide to risk our lives one night and take everyone out to dinner at Texas Roadhouse. It turned out remarkably well! One of the more pleasant eating-in-public-with-kids experiences we've had. Maybe because Livvy had her "turkey" costume on....

Halloween Festivities

Painting pumpkins for the boys and carving for the girls!
One of us thought that this was a shirtless party apparently...

Luke's leadership class did their Spook Alley again this year, so we got to go to it.
Dash getting face paint - he got a bat on each cheek.

Liam requested a kitty, he is such a cute kitty!

Halloween was on a Monday but the school did their Halloween parade the Friday before. So they all got to wear their costumes a few times.

Waiting for the parade to start...

I guess we went to BYU that weekend too....

Dash and Liam helping make Halloween-shaped sugar cookies. They like to help bake/cook and insist they need to wear aprons!

  Preschool Trunk or Treat

Getting ready to go Trick or Treating.
We had a Super Hero theme going on this year because Liam and Dash really wanted to be Superman and Batman again and the girls have gotten into Super heros as well. So we have Superman, Super Girl, Bat Girl and Batman.
There were so many cute and funny pictures that I just had to include them all!

The kids were excited because Dallin and Shannon got to come trick or treating with us, because their poor parents were sick, we had a lot of fun!

Twins turn 4

Liam and Dash on their 4th birthday!

Showing how old they are!

Lucky for them they got to go to preschool on their birthday!

They got birthday crowns at preschool

Since Liam says he LOVES kitties, he got a kitty cupcake

And Dash LOVES dogs so I thought I'd be able to get a dog cake topper but this was the best I could find, a dog driving a firetruck (Marshall from the show Paw Patrol which both boys love). Notice the fingerprints in the frosting, Dash may have taken a couple swipes before we were ready to do cake...

Since our kitchen was under construction, I had to take the cupcakes to a neighbors to bake and then we had the party at Grandma Williams house.

Grandma Talley got the boys each a stuffed Paw Patrol toy which they both insisted on sleeping with that night.

Liam and "Chase"

Dash and "Zuma"

They are getting so big and do the cutest drawings!

Liam- loves the color orange, Superman, and kitties. He loves playing with Dash, his sisters and his friends- especially Dallin and Wesley. He is so lucky to be a twin because he loves to always be around other people. He likes going places with Mommy and playing with Daddy and when his sisters are home he follows them and wants to be doing whatever they are doing. He loves preschool and his teachers there. We have had trouble some days finding a shirt to wear when all of his shirts with either orange or Superman on them are dirty. He usually insists on wearing one of those!

Dash- still loves the color white, Batman and dogs. He has fun playing with his brother and sisters but he is also really good at playing by himself too. He builds cool things out of Magna-Tiles and playdough. He LOVES playing games on the iPad and other video games, especially Castle Crashers. He loves preschool and his friends as well, especially Dallin and Wesley. He is pretty calm and easy going most of the time unless you are trying to get him stop when he is in the middle of something (like building a tower, or lining something up or finishing a "level" of a video game) then he gets frustrated and upset. He gets scared when he is alone so he is always trying to get people to come with him in another room when needs to go get something (or go to the bathroom, haha). He has been having a hard time at night lately, he wakes up scared most nights. We have gotten to the point where we just leave a pillow and blanket on the ground next our bed so he can just lay down and go sleep when he comes in.

We love having these boys in our family! Having twins has had a lot of challenges but also so much fun and now that they are 4 and play so well together it is awesome! They have a built-in best friend and do a great job entertaining each other! Also, now that are big enough to start doing something themselves it is wonderful, I recently got them shoes that they can put on by themselves and switched to booster seats in the car so they can finally buckle themselves! I feel like I just added an hour of time to my day not having to put on shoes and buckle seat belts! When you are mom it is these little things that bring so much joy!
