Halloween

For Halloween this year we decided to do a family theme, Alice in Wonderland! We thought of it last minute last year but with getting home from the hospital with newborn twins just 2 days before we decided to wait until this year to pull it off.

 A week before Halloween we went to Grandma Williams Ward Halloween Party and got to try out our costumes for the first time.The boys were Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum.

 

Liam really like his hat and kept it on but Dash did not.

It was a lot of fun dressing up all together and we got a lot of attention trick or treating especially Luke!

Bath Time

Dash and Liam have always loved bath time, something the girls didn't like till they were older. It is even more fun now that I let them play in the tub together.

 Liam and Dash had a fun 1st Birthday! Grandpa and Grandma Williams came over in the morning to bring them presents since they couldn't come to the party that night.

They got some planes, which Liam is enjoying.

 

And a Thomas the Train, which Dash loved. Finally some boy toys!

 

They spent some time in the afternoon emptying cupboards and playing with pots and pans.

CAKE TIME

 The boys had very different approaches to their cakes. After a taste of the frosting by leaning all the way in, Dash just picked up the whole cake and went to town! Liam was a little hesistant, he had just burnt his finger on the candle (we didn't get it out fast enough after it was blown out by his cousin Parker and Livvy but it was still hot ): First he carefully pulled off the candy letters and ate them one at a time, then fed Grandma Talley and Aunt Miriam, then I broke a little piece for him to eat and once Dash was all done, Liam finally dug in and destroyed it. He loved all the attention especially when he would put his messy hands in his hair! I love how they each have their distinct personalities, they are such cute boys!

Liam and Dash turn 1!

Happy 1st Birthday to Liam and Dash! A week ago these cute boys turned 1! I can't believe how fast that year went by! I'm a little sad to not have my babies anymore but I am excited to see them continue to grow and see even more of their sweet personalities and spirits! Their birthday was the perfect fall day so we took a few pictures in the leaves.

Liam

He is our talker, he says "dada" (his first word) and "da" for Daddy and Dash, mama, thank you, and bye-bye. He loves to wave bye and clap. He is our cuddler and we love it! He has learned to stick up for himself, fight back and even steal from his brother. For some reason Liam is the one that always gets hurt. He has knocked down the gate and fallen down the stairs, dropped a can on his toe, smashed fingers, bit his lip, just to name a few. He likes to be funny and do things just to make you laugh. He started to walk yesterday, motivated by a cup of water that he wanted to get to before Dash!

Dashiell

He is our walker! 4 days before he turned 1 he decided to stand up and walk to his cousin Rosalie! He really loves her as well as all other babies. His first word was "mama" and has also said "hi". You can already tell he has a sense of humor and will do things to be funny. He also has the cutest pout before he cries and can be quite dramatic when he is upset by throwing himself on the floor. He has given himself two bloody noses so far from throwing his face down on the floor.
